A good friend of mine sent me a link to an article in TV Guide about Dustin Diamond’s new book, Behind the Bell. According to this article and the original source, New York Magazine, Screech-err-Dustin Diamond will be disclosing information on “sexual escapades among cast members, drug use, and hardcore partying.” I would hate to speculate about which cast members were involved in these depraved activities because I wouldn’t want my opinion of Mark Paul Gosselaar to be tainted by tales of hardcore drug use. Also, how early did the sexual escapades, drug use, and partying start? During Good Morning Miss Bliss when most of the cast was 11 at the start of the show? I don’t know anything about sexual escapades, but I do know that Lark Voorhies and Mark Paul Gosselaar briefly dated, as well as Mark Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Amber Thiessen. That’s all I’ve got in terms of gossip, so I am interested to read a summary of Dustin Diamond’s book once it comes out. I’m not sure how he could write an entire book on what happened when the cameras weren’t rolling, but cerainly a summary could be worth my time.
What do you think? Is this just another publicity stunt for Dustin Diamond–a last ditch effort to get another 15 minutes of fame? Does anyone care if the stars of Saved by the Bell were the Lindsay Lohans and Paris Hiltons of their day?
